Assistant Director – The RSEC Academy

The RSEC Academy is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director to provide support for adolescents and teachers and facilitate programmatic development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • student social and behavioral support
  • development of school culture and community
  • class scheduling
  • credit tracking
  • development of teacher professional learning activities
  • teacher coaching
  • coordination of community building and experiential activities
  • parent and district communication
  • To apply, the candidate must possess:

  • a willingness to plan and take part in adventure-based activities within a small team
  • a willingness to participate in extracurricular activities
  • strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • the ability to work well with others
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of:

  • NH Standards
  • Common Core standards
  • competency-based curriculum
  • special education
  • instructional strategies
  • learning disabilities
  • Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
  • trauma-sensitive environments
  • experience in an alternative school setting
