The RSEC Academy High School is a diploma-granting, private, not-for-profit program for grades nine through 12 for students unable to find success in a traditional classroom setting. We are approved by the NH Department of Education as a Non-Public School, and for Special Education – specifically for students with specific learning disabilities, Autism, emotional disturbance (such as anxiety disorder or school phobia), other health impairments, speech or language impairment, deafness or hearing impairment.

Belonging

It is never too late to start learning. With an emphasis on literacy, our experienced team of educators and support staff help students see the path to their individual success while understanding how specific challenges impact performance and interactions with others. Small class sizes and collaborative, inclusive projects emphasize individual value and build confidence for the next step in your academic or professional career.

Individualized experiences

Our program provides so much more than high school credits. Students at The RSEC Academy High School gain an understanding of themselves and the interpersonal communication skills they need to confidently and successfully return to their school district, post-secondary education, or work setting. Students spend time outside the classroom to reinforce key concepts in context, and teachers tailor lessons to individual strengths, and learning goals so students benefit with both experiences and grow as they transition to the next step in their journey.

Creative curriculum

The mission of The Academy is to provide students with skills and strategies that will allow them to transition successfully back to their sending school, on to further education, or to the community work force. Our staff holds NH Department of Education teaching certifications, have received specialized training for their participation and leadership in the experiential and adventure activities and Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
