Who RSEC Academy High School serves

We are a resource for students unable to realize their potential in a traditional classroom – and their parents, school districts, and communities. Understanding that no two people learn in the same way, our teachers are qualified to blend life skills with academics so graduates are confident and prepared for the next phase of their young adult lives. Our students are intelligent, hardworking, and driven.

While we never define a student by his or her diagnosis or IEP, we are certified and qualified to teach students with the following challenges:

  • Language-based learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Emotional disturbance
  • Anxiety disorder or school phobia
  • Health issues
  • Speech or language impairment
  • Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Asperger’s

Our program also includes a full-time transition coordinator who helps students define and plan for where they want to go next. Integrating this within the high school curriculum builds confidence and independence, two key aspects of professional success.
