Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Program Director to join our team at RSEC Academy in Amherst, New Hampshire. This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our school’s academic and therapeutic programs for students in grades 5-12. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to improving the lives of students with educational disabilities, with a strong focus on academic success, behavioral support, and social-emotional development.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with educational disabilities.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support faculty and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative school environment.

  • Collaborate with parents, and guardians, sending school districts, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education.

  • Develop and maintain a curriculum that meets the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Monitor student progress and use data to adjust programs and interventions as needed.

  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in special education practices.

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Lead school-wide initiatives to improve student outcomes, social-emotional development, and school culture.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure the implementation of school policies, safety procedures, and crisis management protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (required).

  • New Hampshire State Licensure as a Principal or Special Education Administrator (required).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in special education with leadership experience

  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with students in grades 5-12 with diverse learning needs.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful school culture.

  • Proven track record of program management and the ability to adapt to a dynamic educational environment.

Compensation:

Competitive salary based on experience ($95,000-$105,000). The benefits package includes health insurance, a retirement plan, professional development opportunities, and more.
